ORGANIZATION: ACLU of Massachusetts

  • 178 people are interested

Volunteers are needed for intake and referral of complaints about civil liberties and other violations and general reception duties. Volunteers are responsible for handling initial intake calls. Volunteers screen calls and write up appropriate complaints for review by our intake attorneys. Must be able to use telephone and intake database on which you would be trained. Volunteers work one regularly assigned four-hour shift (9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. or 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.) WEEKDAYS Monday-Friday and are an integral part of the daily operations of the ACLU of Massachusetts. Intake volunteers need to be able to commit to a regular weekly 4-hour shift and be available to continue for at least 6 months since training takes at least 3 sessions with an experienced volunteer. Please contact us at info@aclum.org if you are interested in this particular recurring work and we can let you know when a shift might open up.
Other volunteer opportunities may be available depending on your availability and background/skills.
