Small but growing youth program in desperate need of a grant writer to assist Exec. Director with getting proposals out to potential funders as well as researching funders for a match to our goals and needs.

Excellent opportunity for up and coming grant writer or students interested in not-for-profit management and the processes involved with fundraising. Also a good opportunity to a volunteer committed to seeing a struggling youth program grow and flourish for the benefit of the teens they serve.

We serve teens in the Near North/Cabrini Green community. We are the only youth program in the community that caters ONLY TO TEENS.

Because of our music/marching band program, we have grown in popularity in recent months, however our need for funding prohibits us from registering more interested youth. We have received very positive feedback from the Secretary of State and the Alderman for our ward because of our anti-gang stance and our ability to deter youth from joining gangs or participating in other negative activities.

We really need YOUR help!

Grant writing experience helpful, but not a must. A good writer is a must. Patient and willing to do the leg work. Good research skills will be helpful. Not that much work, but wil help the Executive Director a bunch.
