Clean and Green Team
The River Park Foundation's Clean and Green Team has removed over 1,000,000lbs of trash from the San Diego River. Make a difference for the Environment, join us today!

The Clean And Green Team is a very important component of the San Diego River Park Foundation's Healthy River, Healthy Communities initiative to clean up and beautify the historic San Diego River.

Success!--Over 1.6 million pounds of trash removed and counting!

The team focuses on cleaning up the San Diego River by removing trash and debris from the river bed and surrounding habitat. We work along the river at different locations from Santee to the ocean at Dog Beach.

Only a few thousand pounds to go! Help us to Finish the Job!

The San Diego River has been serving the people of San Diego for over 9,000 years. Unfortunately now it is one of the more polluted waterways in the U.S. thus our organization has dedicated itself to cleaning up this beautiful and important river. The team meets for cleanup events on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month starting at 9am. We provide all tools and supplies. Please make sure to dress in clothes that can get a little dirty and wear sturdy, closed shoes. Please, no sandals or open shoes.Community Service hours can be verified for those that require them.
