Do you like grubbing in the dirt? Do you know about plants and flowers? We maintain the gardens at the historic 1874 Zimmerman House, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, and we could use your help! Even if you can't tell between a pansy and a petunia, we can find a task for you.
On the 2nd Saturday of each month from about 9am - noon, depending on the season and the weather, you may have light weeding to do, bushes to be trimmed, plants to be moved, seeds to be planted, etc. We have gloves and tools. You will want to dress in layers for the weather, and bring water or snacks.
If you want to help us keep up this showplace, please contact us at 503-618-0946 or visit our website at www.echohistory.org.
