CONTACT Huntington
Rape Crisis Volunteer Victim Advocates respond to calls from hospitals and police to meet with sexual assault victims in emergency rooms, hospitals, and police stations to provide emergency counseling and support.
They also take calls from victims who were assaulted previously, sometimes many years ago. We also welcome calls from friends and/or family of victims. Additionally, they serve as an information and referral resource.
Volunteers also have the opportunity to participate in Contact's extensive sexual assault prevention/education program.
Free Volunteer Advocate Training Class is offered three times each year.
