Assist the American Red Cross in responding to local disaster incidents when directed by providing immediate identifiable Red Cross emergency services to those affected and the emergency workers supporting them. You might be called on to assess disaster damage, staff an emergency shelter, serve food, interview, counsel and comfort disaster victims, provide first aid, handle inquiries from relatives, drive vehicles, operate communications systems, take inventory and keep records, work long hours.
