ORGANIZATION: Lambert House LGBTQ Youth Center

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
  • 25 people are interested

Lambert House is Seattle's lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning youth community center. We are seeking meals volunteers to prepare and serve dinner once per month, or more. Meals, or Dinner With Divas as we call it, are sit-down, family style with LGBTQ & ally youth (11-22 years old), volunteers & staff ranging from 20-30 people per meal.

Meals provider volunteers plan the menu, provide the ingredients, and do the cooking. We ask meals volunteers to provide a vegetarian option as part of their meal. We always provide the kitchen, utensils, and hungry mouths!

Volunteers must go through our volunteer recruitment process, including an application, interview, shadow shift, and culminating in three days of training. Our next training is in February 2020 (exact dates TBD). More information about our volunteer application process, including the application, is available on our website: http://www.lamberthouse.org/volunteer/
