Calling All Professional Stylists!

Volunteer to Make a Difference in the Lives of Others

VITAS Healthcare(r) is looking for kind and caring professional stylist to pamper hospice patients living at home, in the hospital or in long term care facilities. Pampering can include: filing, polishing and buffing nails; gentle shampoo, set and style; haircut; helping with makeup.

The beauty industry plays such a large role in hospice care. Many hospice patients still want to look their best, but they are not able to leave their bedside to have their hair done. Bedside service is often desired but the manpower is just not available.

This is a great opportunity for you to give back to the community. By taking time out of your busy work week you can make the biggest difference in another’s life.

VITAS takes pride in its volunteers, and we welcome you to become part of our team. There are many locations throughout the Orlando area you can choose from. Your commitment is completely up to you, whether you spend one day a week or one day a month. Your time is always appreciated.

VITAS integrates volunteers into the hospice program by actively recruiting, training, supporting and creatively utilizing volunteers to meet patient and family needs. Volunteers and their contributions are respected and valued.

Description

Volunteers are the heart of VITAS Healthcare, providing friendly, non-medical patient and family care and offering support services in the office, using their cars and from their own homes. We serve all of Central Florida.
