CCA provides Head Start early education since 1968 to children from low-income families in Tarrant County. This particular campus has kiddos with higher number of special needs (autism/adhd) and we would like to facilitate the best learning environment.

The Head Start model services the whole child from education, health, nutrition and mental health/disabilities. We are excited to have your therapy pet visit a campus for children who may have physical, emotional, sensory and learning disabilities. Your pet would help accomplish these goals and elevate our students to get that 'head start'.

  • Background checks are required.
  • Therapy Pet must be bathed within one day of visit.
  • Vaccinations and a statement of health from vet required.
Volunteering hours would be tailored around M-F, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 3 p.m.
