Assistant will assist in day-to-day public relations activities, including:
- writing and submitting media releases,
- writing and pitching stories to media sources,
- interviewing YMCA members, volunteers, and employees to flush out possible stoires
- monitoring coverage in newspapers and television,
- preparing reports on estimated value of media coverage,
- revising media resource page on the YMCA website,
- writing and laying out newsletters,
- assisting with strategic media planning, and
- other duties related to media, public, and community relations.
Great for students in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or retirees with experience in a related field.
