Meals on Wheels needs volunteers to deliver meals to homebound seniors citizens and disabled adults in communities throughout Hillsborough County. Just a few hours of your assistance on the weekday of your choice from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm can help the elderly and disabled remain healthy and live independently at home. Volunteer individually or as a part of a team of two on a rotating cycle. Training is provided.
Volunteer Drivers must meet the below criteria:
? Must be over 21 years of age
? Ability to lift a 30 pound cooler (filled with meals) into their car
? Ability to climb stairs
? Must have a minimum of $100K/$300K automobile liability insurance (proof required)
? **We also run a BEAS, criminal and motor vehicle record checks**

Description
Our Story Meals on Wheels of Hillsborough County began operations in 1977; in our first year, we provided 149,338 meals and safety checks, within 10 years the need for our services more than doubled, resulting in 277,382 meals and safety checks served in 1987.
Today, Meals on Wheels works with a licensed kitchen in the heart of Manchester, NH that produces over 7,000 nutritious meals each week. Meals are then delivered to numerous dining centers throughout Hillsborough County where they are sent out as Meals on Wheels to homebound, older, and disabled adults.
