Meals on Wheels urgently needs volunteers to deliver meals to homebound seniors and disabled adults in Merrimack, NH. Generally people choose one day per week to deliver. Just a few hours of your assistance on the weekday of your choice from 11 am - 12:30 pm can help the elderly and disabled remain healthy and live independently. You must have a valid NH drivers license, a minimum amount of car insurance (bodily injury coverage of $100,000/$300,000) and acceptable background checks. Training is provided. Meals on Wheels of Hillsborough County fosters independence and life enrichment for seniors and other qualified adults through nutrition, social engagement, and community services.

Description

Our Story Meals on Wheels of Hillsborough County began operations in 1977; in our first year, we provided 149,338 meals and safety checks, within 10 years the need for our services more than doubled, resulting in 277,382 meals and safety checks served in 1987.

Today, Meals on Wheels works with a licensed kitchen in the heart of Manchester, NH that produces over 7,000 nutritious meals each week. Meals are then delivered to numerous dining centers throughout Hillsborough County where they are sent out as Meals on Wheels to homebound, older, and disabled adults.
