The Volunteer Coordinator matches potential new volunteers to appropriate organizational needs. They also manage VolunteerMatch postings and maintain a list of current opportunities. This position can be done remotely from the volunteer's home. Ongoing duties include:

  • Maintain the Volunteer Spreadsheet which tracks all current volunteers.
  • Communicate with Board and Operational Teams on a regular basis to determine what needs the organization would like to fill.
  • Prepare recruitment emails and volunteer job descriptions. Recruit potential volunteers using VolunteerMatch and Google Groups.
  • Must have proficiency using Google Drive and its programs, or experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with rabbits is not necessary, but a love for animals and a desire to help them is.
  • Experience as a volunteer at a non-profit is desired. Preference is given to individuals with experience as a volunteer at an animal-related non-profit.

Description

Minnesota Companion Rabbit Society (MCRS) is a volunteer-based, member-supported, nonprofit organization dedicated to educating the public about companion rabbits and assisting homeless rabbits with finding lifelong homes.
