Join us in May as we start construction on a home for a local veteran and his family!

Habitat's Veterans Build program seeks to provide veterans and military-connected community members with the chance to contribute to the construction or repair of homes for those in need. We believe that this can have a powerful effect on the lives of the veterans, their families, and caretakers who want to continue to serve in our communities.

There is no experience necessary. Tasks will vary and our helpful site leads will teach you everything you need to know. You must be 16 years or older (and accompanied by an adult 21 or over if you are under 18) to volunteer. Come out and help Habitat, learn new skills, and meet some amazing people.

Description

Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI), and the Central Ohio Affiliate, is an ecumenical Christian housing ministry. Habitat affiliates work locally in communities around the world to select and support homeowners, organize volunteers, and coordinate house building.

Supporting Habitat for Humanity - MidOhio is Habitat’s ReStore, a retail outlet that accepts and re-sells reusable home improvement materials to the general public. Revenue from sales directly offsets Habitat’s administrative costs and assists in both eliminating substandard housing and creating homeownership in Central Ohio.
