The Greer Learning Center needs volunteers to help members of Greer's international community learn English as a Second Language (ESL). *Fluency in a foreign language is NOT mandatory.*

Tutors help English language learners with new vocabulary, phrases, and conversation skills.

Our ESL students are divided into different level classes (beginning, intermediate, advanced) and taught with level-appropriate materials.

After observing classes and participating in a volunteer orientation/training workshop, tutors are matched with a small to mid-size group of students in a particular level.

Tutor commitment is 1.5 hours a week/one day a week. The center offers classes in the mornings (Mon-Thurs 9:00am - 12:00pm) and evenings (Tues & Thurs 6:30pm - 8:00pm)
