As a Companionship Volunteer at Autumn Woods Hospice, you are embarking in a rewarding experience. Volunteers are an integral part of our Hospice team. Our Volunteer Coordinator works with you directly and takes into account your interests/hobbies before placing you to ensure that this experience is a positive one for you and our patients. Companionship Volunteers visit with patients at nursing homes or in the patient's home and provide emotional support, socialization, and/or engage in activities such as games.
You will undergo training before you are able to visit with patients.
