The San Diego River Park Foundation
The San Diego River Outreach Team is seeking volunteers with an interest in education, public speaking or who enjoy outdoor festivals to help inform the public about the historic and beautiful San Diego River and future River Park.
Why does the public need to know about our river?
The San Diego River has been serving the people of San Diego for over 9,000 years as a source of life to our region. Our city and county were named after this river which has provided so much to people and wildlife. Over the last 50 years it has been neglected to the point that it is now one of the more polluted rivers in the country.
