A compassionate, caring, dedicated individual who would enjoy visiting lonely patients as they tranverse their end-of-life experience. A cool Companion can read books, play music, journal life history, hold hands, have conversations, bring special treats, decorate a patient's room, and help improve the patient's quality of life while living in this challenging time.

Also a Cool Companion can give relief to a Caregiver when needed by sitting with the patient so the Caregiver can run errands, get rest, or take care of special needs.

Need for A Cool Companion is all over the Metro area, you may prefer to stay in your own area.

About Heartland Hospice

Mission Statement

We believe that our mission is to enrich lives by providing high quality services and products. That begins with every life we encounter: our employees (volunteers included), our patients and those who love and care for them, the communities in which we operate, our stakeholders and those who are yet to become our customers.

Description

Hospice is a special kind of care designed to provide sensitivity and support for people in the final phase of a terminal illness.

Hospice care seeks to enable patients to carry on an alert, pain-free life and to manage other symptoms so that the last days may be spent with dignity and quality at home or in a homelike setting.

It is the goal of Heartland Hospice to provide palliative and supportive services to meet physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs to the patients and caregivers in the home, health care facilities, or other residential settings. These services will be provided without regard to race, religion, gender, creed, sex, or ability to pay.
