- Welcome patients and family to Surgical Waiting Room
- Maintain a friendly and supportive atmosphere
- Provide information and assistance to family members while they are waiting
- Keep track of patients and family members
- Communicate requests from surgery area to family members regarding status of patient, including escorting family back to recovery area, meeting with physician or discharge arrangements.
- Shift schedules: 7am - noon OR noon - 4pm (M-F); Volunteers typically serve one day a week for 4-5 hours
