Who is having more fun?

Help is needed every day starting at 4pm exept Sat & Sun we start at 3pm. The time commitment varies by day, but is usually 3-4 hours. We ask that you commit to one day each week, however, we can work with most schedules. This is an active, fun, and extremely rewarding volunteer experience! Training provided so YOU can make someone's day special!

Volunteers assist with horse-back riding lessons as sidewalkers (walking beside the rider to help them during the lesson), horse leaders (horse leaders must have sufficient horse handling skills) and also help with feeding, grooming and stall cleaning. Horse experience is not required for most positions.

Northern Virginia Therapeutic Riding Program provides equine assisted activities for children and adults with disabilities, youth-at-risk, veterans, and their families in an inclusive, community setting.
