Volunteers are needed through the Oklahoma City area! Frontier Hospice is currently recruiting volunteers to support our bereavement services and coordinator. If you would like to offer help with this service through bereavement phone calls, visits and mailings, please contact us! At Frontier Hospice, we are committed to our mission to follow loved ones 13 months after a patient has passed. Won't you join us in meeting the special needs of the bereaved? We pay $.38 cents a mile when you travel around the city to meet with the loved ones of our patients that have passed.

Description

An innovative concept in healthcare, Hospice brings together a team of specially trained professionals and volunteers who work with the patient's doctor to provide a plan of care designed to control the pain and ease end-of-life struggles for the patient and family. The Hospice Team is made up of professionals from a variety of disciplines and specially trained volunteers working under the stewardship of a Hospice medical director to meet the individual needs of terminally ill patients and their families. The Hospice Team also works with the patient and family's community of faith and/or other spiritual care resources, as requested.
