Remineralize the Earth (RTE) is an international nonprofit (NGO) based in Northampton, Massachusetts, USA that focuses on the critical role that soil remineralization with finely ground rock dust and sea minerals plays in agriculture by increasing the growth, health and the nutrient value of all plant life, reversing global desertification through agroforestry and reforestation, producing sustainable biofuels, sequestering carbon and stabilizing the climate.

An ideal opportunity for an individual interested in any of the following fields: nonprofit management, web design, international environmental studies, soil science, marketing and sustainable agriculture . Currently, we have a specific need for:

Social Media

We are looking for a Social Media volunteer to assist us developing a social media strategy and growing our social networks (Facebook).

Actual tasks will include: Using the latest social media tools to promote our organization; reinforcing and developing the social media strategies; maintaining established social media tools, particularly Facebook and Researching and reporting on emerging social media trends.

Development

1)A professional grantwriter/fundraiser to help us with capacity building and take us to the next level as a professional non-profit organization as well as grants for specific projects

2) Help us develop the individual and commercial member sections

3) Sales and marketing

4) Professional quality translation- any language

Website

We need a web programmer and a web designer to add changes and tweaks to our website. This can be the same person - or a few different people. We prefer you to not only have the design and programming skills but also to be able to advise us on how to restructure the website best for easy access of information in accordance with our mission and priorities.

Documentary

1) We need to transcribe a filmed interview from Portuguese to English

2) Add subtitles to interview video

• Web design and web programming: Experience in designing websites that are easy to read and appeal to a very diverse audience and familiar with programming languages such as Joomla, CSS, JavaScript
• Database design: Helping us create the world's largest research databases and an interactive world map on rock dust sources.
• Writing and research: Writing and editing articles and interviews, Internet research skills, fundraising, grant writing, nonprofit organization development.
