DUTIES: Include preparation of diets, cleaning cages, and record keeping. Animals include assorted arthropods, reptiles and amphibians.
Plus, aquarium exhibits include a variety of fresh and saltwater animals including sharks, stingrays, seahorses, turtles, snakes and horseshoe crabs.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Catawba Science Center is to further the public's understanding of science and technology in the Western Piedmont through the use of educational programs, exhibits, teaching collections and activities that emphasize physical participation.
Description
CSC has 18,000 sq. ft. of exhibits, centered on the physical, life and earth sciences. Permanent exhibit areas include Energy Avenue, the Inventor's Workshop, Hall of Astronomy, VR Xtreme and freshwater/saltwater aquaria -- including North Carolina's only marine touch tank with sharks and stingrays. CSC also offers traditional astronomy talks, immersive digital films and laser light shows in its 65-seat planetarium. CSC also has traveling and blockbuster exhibits rotate throughout the year.
