VITAS is looking for caring individuals to share their voice and time as Telephone Assurance Program (TAP) Volunteers to help terminally ill patients and their families. TAP is a program in which in home hospice patients (and their family members) receive "check-in" phone calls by VITAS TAP Volunteers. Orientation as a patient care volunteer is required and provided free of charge.

Description
Volunteers are the heart of VITAS providing friendly, non-medical patient and family care and offering support services in the office, our patients homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes or in our In-Patient Hospice Unit in Waterbury, CT.
