Make a blanket for a hurting child! Blankets can be any size suitable for children birth through age 18. They may be quilts, appliqued, fleece, crochet or knitted - but must be new, washable and handmade (or have a handmade touch). We have many drop sites in and around Carroll County where you can drop your finished blanket or donations of fabric, batting, yarn, thread, etc. Please contact Chapter Coordinator Amy Fleming at ccprojectlinus@gmail.com or 443-900-1778 for drop site locations.
Student service learning hours can be achieved through Project Linus! All five senior centers in Carroll County, MD and the senior center in Hanover, PA are involved in making blankets for our chapter. It's also a great service project for scouts, church groups, 4H clubs, homemakers groups, MOMS clubs, or individuals!
We also are in constant need of yarn, batting, thread, sewing tools, cotton fabrics (min.1 yd), flannel (min. 1 yd), fleece in child friendly prints (min. 1 yd). Please call 443-900-1778 or email ccprojectlinus@gmail.com to arrange pick-up or for a list of our drop sites.
