If you answered yes to any of the above we have a very rewarding position for you.

The participants attending the Alzheimer's Day Program are talkative, interested and not reserved. In the Day Program you will find individuals with early and mid-stages of Alzheimer's disease (confused and some memory loss)

Responsibilities would include:

• Escort participants to and from meals & programs

• Spend time talking with the participants

• Assist staff with program activities, i.e. games and/or crafts


• Greet participants at the door when needed

Consider giving your time to the only day program for individuals with dementia and Alzheimer's provided by the Alzheimer's Association , Central New York Chapter in all of Central NY.

• Activity Assistant: Be warm and caring and able to "go with the flow." Ability to relate to people who are confused or have memory loss. * Naturally a warm, caring and flexible individual * Ability to communicate with people who are confused or have memory loss * (optional)Play a musical instrument for a sign-a-long, dancing or entertain in any way.
