The San Diego River Park Foundation
The San Diego RiverWatch Team seeks volunteers to assist us with our monthly water quality testing along the San Diego River. No experience necessary. The teams meet on the 3rd Friday in Santee and 3rd Sunday near Old Town. RiverWatch takes about three hours for each team.
The Team uses an electronic monitoring instrument to collect real-time data on the temperature, dissolved oxygen content, acidity or alkalinity, conductivity, and nutrient content of the river water. Teams also notate the conditions of the sites and collect water samples.
