About Camp of Dreams

Location:

8 West Root Street, Chicago, IL 60609, US

Mission Statement

Our mission is to prepare underprivileged young people to reach their full potential through development of life skills, knowledge, and cultural enrichment.

Description

Camp of Dreams is an emerging Chicago program devoted to bringing uplifting, engaging, free educational programs to young people who would otherwise go without. Students participate in a three-week residential camp over the summer and in Community Days three Saturdays a month during the school year.

Camp of Dream brings a wide range of activities to its participants: Academic, Visual and Performing Arts, Mind and Body, Health and Wellness, and Civic Engagement. And in all of our activities, our young people learn about accountability, and about living up to their commitments to themselves, their fellow participants, and their broader community.
