Description

WHAT IS A P.I.E. AREA REPRESENTATIVE? As a volunteer for Pacific Intercultural Exchange, you represent our organization to the host families, students, and schools in your community. Our volunteers all share the desire to promote cultural and international understanding in their community. By contributing your time and effort toward this goal, you will help fulfill a student's dream to experience the American way of life. Area Representatives select host families and match students with the families whom they have chosen to participate in the program. Furthermore, Area Representatives have the opportunity to get to know the students and provide ongoing support to them and their host families. As an Area Representative, you will see your student(s) adapt to American culture, improve their English skills, and learn about our way of life. You receive a reimbursement stipend for your efforts.
