Help a non-native English speaker at the International Center improve his/her speech clarity and listening comprehension with the support of professional training and use of the textbook Pronunciation Pairs.
COMMITMENT: Four-six months. Work with two students (one hour/student) each week for 10 weeks/sessions.
TRAINING: One intercultural session and two 2-hour training sessions.

• REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrate native English fluency and an interest in and sensitivity to other cultures, use active listening skills, develop the content and structure of pronunciation sessions based on the learners' needs and language goals, and appreciate the fact that the rewards of volunteering come from a partnership of equals sharing knowledge and culture. Prior experience in TESOL, linguistics or speech is helpful but not necessary. A strong interest in helping members with their pronunciation.
