Are you an outgoing person with a passion for helping others? Locust Grove Nature Center is a really busy place on the weekends - and we need your help!

The Nature Center Host takes pride in being the first face visitors see when they come to Locust Grove. S/he helps visitors have a good experience in the park as they learn about the natural world around them.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Staff the front desk.
2. Greet visitors when they arrive.
3. Help visitors locate maps, brochures, and other resources.
4. Recommend trails, activities, and programs.
5. Answer the phone.
6. Assist the Park Naturalists in programs as needed.
7. Keep the exhibit room in order.
8. Provide care for our resident snakes and turtles, and the wild birds outside.
9. Participate in environmental education or training opportunities.
10. Occasionaly help with administrative work.

Schedule
- Saturdays, from 9am to 1pm
- Saturdays, from 1pm to 5pm
- Sundays, from 1pm to 5pm

Choose a shift that works for your schedule. Volunteer Hosts are encouraged to volunteer for at least one shift per month.
