Financial Literacy Class Volunteer/Instructor

Description

IRC's Financial Education Program conducts workshops for newly arrived refugees in order to help them learn how to navigate our financial system. Each class covers a different theme including personal budgeting, working with a bank, building credit, and employment readiness training.

You don't have to be a financial expert to help... the curriculum is already written and staff will train you to conduct these workshops.

Workshops occur on Tuesdays from 9-12, and on Wednesdays from 12-3, occasional Saturday classes as well.

Skills

  • Attention to detail, tutoring: Personal transportation required. Arizona residents only. Strong planning skills Organizational Skills. Knowledge of basic budgeting and banking skills, and the process of establishing a credit history.
