Ten Thousand Villages
We are currently seeking volunteers to help in the daily operation of our store. In a very real way, your volunteer time helps hundreds of communities around the world through fair trade. From Sales Associates to Craft Specialist....there are positions available for everyone.
About Our Trainings
We provide an interactive, fun, and informative hands on training for our sales associate and inventory specialist positions. Begin with a group training and see if this is the right match for you!
Group Trainings 2016 (Summer)
Mark your calendar, tie that knot, or update your iPad for our upcoming training sessions! Each month we offer a weekend or weekday orientation, so take your pick! At the orientation, you will learn more about 10,000 Villages as an organization, get to know some of our current volunteers and share with us some of your interests and skills. Everyone is welcome! We have opportunities for you to spread your artistic wings, learn a new skill, share a story, meet like-minded community members interested in travel, arts, and people.
We serve fair trade coffee, tea and snacks. You will also receive a 15% discount on any purchase the day of your orientation.
THE NEXT ORIENTATION DATE IS SATURDAY, JULY 23, 2016 3:00-4:00PM

Ten Thousand Villages is run in large part by volunteers including our volunteer board of directors. We are a vibrant part of the community. You are invited to the dozens of events we host in the store and at locations throughout Washington State. We are motivated and inspired by our mission: The mission of Ten Thousand Villages - Seattle is to develop strong fair trade economic markets through our practices and educational outreach, in order to support artisans and craftspeople in struggling communities around the world.

Ten Thousand Villages is a nonprofit, retail organization whose mission is to create opportunities for artisans in developing countries to earn income by bringing their products and stories to our markets through long-term fair trading relationships.
