ORGANIZATION: Latino Health Institute Inc.

Latin American Health Institute (LHI) in Boston, Massachusetts is currently seeking a volunteer Development Assistant who will provide key research and administrative support to the Development Department during a period of growth and change.

8-40 hours per week, depending on volunteer's availability.


With primary focus on LHI's two major fund-raising events in 2008, the associate is responsible for researching potential sponsors, publicity, identifying invitees, securing raffle and silent auction items, and assisting at events.

Additional tasks include database/donor management, gift acknowledgment, prospect research, newsletter production and mailing.

Opportunity to learn about fund-raising in a large nonprofit and about health care for Massachusetts Latin American community. Warm, friendly, supportive environment.
