Description
Make a difference in the life of an abandoned, abused, or neglected child by being a mentor. These children reside in either a group home or foster home and are looking for positive, adult role models in their lives.
Duties include: Weekly visit doing a positive activity with the child; recognizing significant events in the child's life to include birthdays, good grades, and other holidays; providing a support system while the child gets the treatment and care needed to be successful in their future.
Note: We currently have a critical need for male and/or minority mentors, as 70% of our foster care population are minorities.
