Texas State Guard - 4th Air Wing
Organization |
Description
The Texas State Guard's Air Division was established to support the mission and operations of the Texas Air National Guard. Air Division units are aligned with their host Texas ANG units in San Antonio, Austin, Garland, Houston and La Porte.
Our Volunteers, much like their counterparts within the Red Cross, Salvation Army, Fire Departments, Medical Services, and Law Enforcement, actively support the citizens of Texas in the event of a catastrophic event. Similar to not for profit organizations, our Volunteers receive no compensation for their time, simply, the satisfaction from helping others in need. Hence, our motto; "Texans Serving Texas".
Our organizational structure is modeled after the Active Military forces structure, with position ranks, protocols, and authorities. In addition, our volunteers wear military clothing when conducting activities for the Texas State Guard.
