Do you enjoy people and want to make a real difference in someone's life? Join us as a volunteer driver!

You can provide rides to doctor or dentist appointments or provide the means for someone to continue to engage in community activities.

Simply providing a ride to someone who can no longer drive can really brighten their world - and yours.

Does this sound good? Here's more: Volunteer drivers use their own vehicles and drive on their own schedules. Drive once a month or twice a week; it's all up to you. All arrangements are made by our office staff and scheduled well in advance.

Community Caregivers Neighbors Helping Neighbors The mission of Community Caregivers, Inc. is to enable individuals of all ages to maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life within their homes and communities.

Description

Community Caregivers serves many communities in Albany and Rensselaer Counties. There is no charge for our services.

We are recruiting volunteers who would like to have a rewarding experience. You can drive someone to an appointment, lend a hand to a family facing a medical crisis, grocery shop, help with light household chores, be a friendly visitor or telephone assurance caller.

You can volunteer from one hour a month to twice a week or anything in between. Our volunteers usually serve weekdays, but select opportunities are available evenings or weekends. You select the service level that's right for you and your schedule. We offer orientation, support and volunteer learning opportunities.
