We are a non-residential, consumer-controlled, community-based, 501c3 nonprofit organization . We provide information, instruction and support for people living with disability, their families, friends and allies in the community . It is our mission to promote public awareness and barrier-free access in the community while supporting individual choice, advancing the independent living philosophy, promoting the civil rights and inclusion of all people living with disabilities.

This opportunity involves helping to facilitate and assist with the conduct of various scheduled activities, including special presentations, activities, community events etc. Sample activities include health, diet, exercise, financial education, etc. As a volunteer you will attend the activity and support the staff and participants as needed, also allowing you to participate and learn about the topic at hand. Events typically last 1-2 hours and take place during weekday mornings or afternoons. You may sign up to assist with as few or as many activities as you wish.
