ServiceWorks, a college and career readiness program, is holding a single day-long intensive skill building boot camp for 16-24 year olds. We are looking for volunteers who can help facilitate and guide discussions in a group of 10-15 students as they plan and implement a service project. There will be Lead Trainers who will provide an overview and insight for each topic of discussion. You will then engage the students in discussions around brainstorming, understanding community issues, finding solutions, networking and many other topics.

Shifts Available: All Day 8:00am-4:00pm, Shift #1 8:00am-12:30pm, Shift #2 11:30am-4:00pm

Online training will be provided to teach you: 1. What the boot camp will entail. 2. How to work with 16-24 year olds 3. How to facilitate discussions.

Requirements

18+ years old

Enjoy working with young adults.

Be comfortable talking to and leading a group.

Description

For the children of incarcerated parents, Foreverfamily, formerly AIM, provides an after school program, prison trips to two women prisons and a male transitional center in Georgia, and a summer camp. The After School Program includes a Study Hall, Cultural Enrichment, and Teen Leadership Program. The After School Program takes place Tuesday & Thursday 2:30 pm -8:00 pm. The Study Hall Program takes palce from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm and the Cultural Enrichment and Teen Leadership Program Program takes place from 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm.Foreverfamily also facilitates Family Vitistation three Saturday's a month at Arrendale State Prison, Pulaski State Prison and Clayton Transitional Center.
