ORGANIZATION: GREEN BAY BOTANICAL GARDEN INC

POSITION SUMMARY:
Assist 10 hours per week with adult and children’s educational activities offered by the Garden including developing, promoting and implementing programs.
JOB DUTIES:
1. Assist in planning and developing educational programs (adult, family and school), including programs for our upcoming Nature Connects(c) with Lego Bricks exhibit.
2. Assist implementing adult classes including registrations, set up, check in, clean up and record keeping.
3. Assist with scheduled school tours, outreach programs, day care tours and children’s day camps.
4. Assist with family classes including preschool programs, gardening activities and craft classes.
5. Attend education programs and events as requested.
6. Fulfill administrative duties as assigned by the supervisor.
7. Other duties as requested.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
1. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in horticulture, education, environmental science or related field. May also be in the process of obtaining a similar degree.
2. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills with a sincere desire to serve the public.
3. Organizational skills and computer skills, including but not limited to: database management, MS Office, general computer knowledge.
4. Must be flexible in working hours and environment, as many events are held outdoors and evenings and weekends are required.
5. Must be physically able to stand, kneel or walk for extended periods of time, lift up to 20 lbs. and work outside in all types of weather conditions.

2017 Spring Semester
February 2017 to mid-May 2017
$500 Stipend upon successful performance prorated to actual time worked during the semester.
