Walk for Animals

Join us on Saturday, February 25 for North County's largest dog walk: San Diego Humane Society's Walk for Animals - North County, a 2-mile walk at Kit Carson Park.

Mission Statement

The San Diego Humane Society and SPCA's mission is to promote the humane treatment of animals, prevent cruelty to animals and provide education to enhance the human-animal bond.

The work we accomplish would not be possible without the dedication of our volunteers. We have three locations, employ over 300 staff and rely on more than 2,000 volunteers for their time, love, and support.

Compassionate, dedicated volunteers are needed in all areas of our shelters.

Description

A private nonprofit organization that receives no public funding, the San Diego Humane Society and SPCA is supported solely by contributions, grants, bequests, investments, and some fees for service.
