The Information & Education Clerical Intern will provide support in a wide variety of duties for projects or clerical needs for the Post Adoption Services department. Responsibilities may include: assisting program staff at meetings or events; completing administrative tasks (such as filing, mailings, sorting donations, etc.), inputting information into a database, generating reports, compiling outgoing advertising information, building working relationships with community partners and individual citizens, and maximizing services for children and families.

Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for carrying out general project or clerical duties as assigned by Information & Education program staff. Such duties may include:
a. administrative tasks (such as filing, mailings, etc.)
b. general word processing
c. maintaining office files, setting up new files, or eliminating old files
d. some data entry and updating of information into a computer database
e. receptionist duties (does not include use of the telephone system)
f. sorting of donations or gifts for clients
g. compling outgoing advertising information
h. other office support, projects, or clerical duties as needed

2. Assist Information & Education program staff in different aspects of agency programs, events or meetings under the direction of program staff

3. Comply with all program policies and procedures of Children's Home Society & Family Services

4. Respect and maintiain confidentiality at all times.
