ORGANIZATION: Alzheimer's Association, Iowa Chapter

The Alzheimer’s Association is looking for a volunteer to lead a community choir of individuals with Dementia in building joyful moments in their life through music. Responsibilities include selecting and planning music for monthly or bi-monthly meetings, teaching and coaching music with patience, participating in the creative planning for community events/services, and motivating and supervising a group of dedicated learners. Ideal candidate is dependable and self-motivated, has a loving heart and an open mind, is able to mentor with patience and joy, has some experience leading a choir, is able to organize and motivate all participants, possesses a sense of humor and positive attitude, and is a creative problem-solver.
