ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:
SCORE is a non-profit national organization with over 50 years serving our communities. We offer free advice and mentoring to small business entrepreneurs. We are a nonprofit resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). We have over 300 SCORE offices across the country.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Miami Chapter is in the midst of an organizational transformation with the sole intention of empowerin
g the volunteer workforce, repositioning our Chapter within the community, and strengthening our partnerships and relationships for better collaboration.
We are developing a Community Outreach & Public Relations Committee, which will assist with:
-establishing community relationships, such as partnerships with key organizations, relationships with collaborating organizations, sponsors, and so on
-maintain relationships with key partners to continue to support our programs and initiatives
-establish and maintain relationships that allows us to provide free educational workshops to small business owners
-identify ways to position our Chapter and our services
-reach out to media outlets to position or Chapter, success stories, and other opportunities
-help with fundraising initiatives
We are seeking experienced volunteer who can take on the lead role and assume the Committee Chair role, by setting the strategy, providing guidance and maintaining relationships at an Executive level.
We are seeking other volunteers with relevant background that can assist with the implementation as Committee Members and support the daily activities.
We are very appreciative of the work of our volunteers and the time they donate and invest in our organization and community. To make our organization successful, we do ask that all volunteers can at least invest 10-12 hours a month.
We are seeking volunteers that can be present in the Miami Dade area, and preferably retired professional to allow for availability during the day.

For over 50 years, SCORE’s thousands of working and retired business professionals have volunteered to support the success of small business nationwide. SCORE business mentoring is free and confidential.
We provide:
- Free, confidential business mentoring in person, via email or by video
- Volunteer mentors who share their expertise across industries
- Free business tools, templates and tips online
- Inexpensive or free business workshops (locally) and webinars (online 24/7)
