Volunteers are needed any day starting Feb. 22 - Mar. 5. You can volunteer as often as you like and as many volunteer hours as you can. Events will be held at multiple locations throughout the City of Dallas. We need you!
Here is a breakdown of some of the activities we need volunteers for:
Wednesday, February 22, 2017 9:00 am Food and Fiber building at Fair Park
5k/Fun walk and opening ceremony-30
Duties: water station on race route, parking, registration, host VIP room, greeter, parade
Thursday, February 23, 2017 8:00am Food and Fiber building at Fair park
Texas Hold Em-8
Duties:3-Check in, 5 support group hosting tournament
Dominoes-14
Duties: 2-check in, 1 at each table to oversee game play (10 tables)
2-tournament brackets
2-support participants
Bridge-11
Duties: 3 check in, 8 support group hosting tournament and participants

TheDallas Park and Recreation Department volunteer manual was developed as a reference and supplement to staff training on volunteer management.
Volunteers are one of our most valuable resources. It is through their commitment and efforts that the Dallas Park and Recreation Department can provide more diverse and higher quality services and programs to the citizens of Dallas. In order to maintain this important human resource, effective management is the key.
