Sign-up for a volunteer shift: https://www.theplantsale.org/volunteer/

For every 4-hour shift worked, volunteers will receive a special gift!

Address: Evergreen State Fairgrounds, Commercial Building #400 (main parking area)

Every day, there are two volunteer shifts to choose from:
  • 8:00 a.m. - noon
  • 12:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Volunteer Dates:

  • Mon. Feb. 5th (afternoon shift only)
  • Tue. Feb. 6
  • Wed. Feb. 7
  • Thurs. Feb. 8 (morning shift only)
  • Saturday, Feb. 10th (the day of the Plant Sale -volunteer duties will be different than the weekday shifts. Volunteers will need to be comfortable working with the public in a fast-paced environment.)

What will Volunteers be doing exactly? During the weekdays preceding the Saturday Plant Sale, our staff is busy unloading deliveries of native plants and packaging them into select bundles. There are thousands of plants to process before the big sale - volunteers are crucial to a successful sale. While volunteering, you can expect to be standing at a table, handling and moving plants. The room at the Fairgrounds is unheated, and depending on the weather, it can get chilly. We recommend wearing warm layers that you don't mind working in or getting a little dirty, and comfortable shoes. If you have your own gloves, please bring them. If not, no worries! We have plenty of extra gloves available to you. There will be training on site, so no special experience is necessary. We will provide light refreshments and snacks.

Special Instructions when you arrive: Please arrive 5-10 minutes early for your shift to allow time for checking-in, and so you can enjoy refreshments. We will be starting promptly at the beginning of each shift with a whole group training and orientation. We appreciate your efforts to help our efficiency by arriving on time. Also, we ask that you please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes prior to your shift. That way, our staff can have adequate time to set-up before each shift.

If you need special accommodations or have any questions, please contact Laura Goff, 425-377-7018 or laura@snohomishcd.org
