Sometimes, when it’s hard to let go, it helps to have something to hold onto. memory bears comfort those who are grieving by helping them feel close to someone they have lost. We create these bears from a favorite article of clothing, blanket or material. Treasure Valley Hospice is looking for volunteers to cut, stuff and/or sew these bears. No prior skill required. This volunteer opportunity is per patient request. You can work on them in our office or in the comfort of your own home. If a loved one is confined to a hospital bed or has moved far away, a memory bear can make home feel so much closer.
