What is Shangri-La?
Shangri-La is a non-profit human services organization serving adults with disabilities and disadvantages so they may recognize and achieve their potential. We aim to create communities where all people are accepted for their abilities and celebrated for their achievements.

What does a Legislative Advocacy Intern do?
The Legislative Advocacy Intern will work under the direction of Shangri-La's Director of Strategic Imperatives to assist with Shangri-La's 2017 legislative advocacy efforts relating to the advancement and protection of individuals served by Shangri-La and/or legislation relating to the success of Shangri-La as a service provider.

Ideal volunteer is pursuing a degree in communication studies, non-profit administration, public management, politics, political science or the like. Volunteer must be at least 18 years of age.
