Delivery Volunteers

Food & Friends delivers meals and groceries to clients living throughout DC, MD, and Northern VA. Our delivery radius covers over 6000 square miles, so volunteers play a critical role in accomplishing this daily endeavor. Deliveries are made between 10:00am-3:00pm Monday thru Saturday, so volunteers are asked to begin their route anytime between 9:30am-Noon. A typical route has between 6-10 stops and can take anywhere from 1-3 hours to complete. Maps and written driving directions are provided for each route.

This is a great activity for volunteer groups, families, or individuals, as it is the best way to connect with our clients.

Volunteers must use their own vehicle, be at least 18 years old (or accompanied by someone 18 years or older), and have a valid driver’s license to participate.

If you would like to bring your group or organization to deliver meals please review and sign up here for available dates: http://vhub.at/ffgroups

If you are interested in becoming a delivery volunteer, please email
