A huge part of our shop is to benefit youth and their families and one way we are able to do that is through our great abundance of toys we have donated to us.
We need some extra help to be able to go through the mountains of toys that we have donated to the Thrift Shop.
This task/job includes:
- sorting broken and older toys from sellable toys
- cleaning off the toys that are sellable
- Pricing toys by their wear & tear, as well as retail price.
- Stock the shelves with toys that have been priced
- Keep Toy area well maintained as well as clean for the customers.
This position is one of ease and allows room for anyone to be able to do well in it!
Benefits:
20% volunteer discount for 12 or more hours worked per month
30% discount for 24 or more hours worked per month.

The primary mission of Mercer Island Thrift Shop is to raise money to support the programs of Mercer Island Youth and Family Services (MIYFS).
Description
Founded in 1970, Mercer Island Youth and Family Services is a department of the City of Mercer Island providing a variety of human services for Mercer Island citizens. The mission of MIYFS is "to provide, coordinate and advocate for affordable, high quality human services for the citizens of Mercer Island". Our philosophy is that coordinated community resources can help build stronger and healthier families and community by enhancing strengths, identifying problems and choices and sharing resources.
Assistance - We provide a safety net for Island residents experiencing a crisis.
Support -We provide programs that improve the health and well being of all Island residents.
Development - We empower Islanders to grow, enrich and strengthen our community.
